heute mit unbeabsichtigtem schwerpunkt lo-fi. die großartigen rough bunnies, hier unter „inside riot“ firmierend, habe ich erst vor kurzem entdeckt. die 2 mädels sind etwas über 20, haben aber mit diversen formationen ein beeindruckendes gesamtwerk von insgesamt 9 alben geschaffen. demnächst mehr dazu. auch wichtig ist der neue Song von menomena!, ein kleines lebenszeichen, auch wenn es nur der titelsong irgendeiner amerikanischen provinzfernsehshow ist. ich warte schon auf den nachfolger von „i am the fun blame monster“. conner spielen neo-wave ohne langeweile, danke an s78.ch für den hinweis.

16 tolle und hauptsächlich neue songs. die thermals kennt wohl ein jeder, half-handed cloud und shapes and sizes sind 2 bands von sufjan stevens grandiosem label asthmatic kitty. von i am bones könnte man hierzulande bald mehr hören, da das album auf cargo im september in deutschland erscheint und er am 7.9. in berlin auftritt (magnet / antistars).
